Hey there! My name is Cindy Hernandez. I was born in Texas, but I spent much of my childhood in Mexico, which makes Spanish my first language. I moved to Houston TX for high school when I was 15, and it was there that my love for communication work truly started.
Growing up between two cultures, I quickly learned the need for diverse storytelling. Not everyone can understand your story without knowing your background. This passion pushed me to pursue a major in Communication with a focus on Media Production and a minor in Marketing. While video is my strong preference, being a well-rounded communicator has always been important to me. The classes and projects I am a part of have helped shape my perspective. I love creating videos and shaping stories that resonate with people.
I joined this class at the very last minute, but I can already tell it’s going to be a good one. Seeing everyone so eager to ask questions and explore the history of the places where many of us choose to spend our college years is exciting. I’m looking forward to continuing my journey as a communicator, using whatever skills I have to create content that truly impacts people.
